Exim Bank committed to support mortgage financing in Tanzania .
Exim
Bank Tanzania has pledged to offer mortgage facilities to individuals
and corporate companies seeking to acquire and develop property in
Tanzania as part of the bank’s commitment to support the country’s
economic development.
This
was revealed by the Exim Bank Assistant Manager- Retail Credit Hosiana
Muro during the opening of the Tanzania Homes Expo in Dar es Salaam
yesterday that brought together various stakeholders in the construction
sector. Muro said her bank is committed to provide
mortgage facilities at very competitive rates urging Public to exploit
opportunities provided by banks.
“We
realize building a house solely using one’s income may not be so easy.
It may take up to 20 years for one to complete a house. After realizing
this, we at Exim bank have put in place a mortgage facility that will
provide the necessary credit to enable one own property.
“Our rates are very competitive in the market,” She added.
